How It Works

Draw, spin, return

1 · The draw

A small blood sample — no more than a routine lab visit — is all PRP needs.

2 · The spin

A centrifuge separates and concentrates your platelets and growth factors into a golden plasma.

3 · The return

Your injector places the PRP precisely where renewal is wanted — under-eyes, cheeks, smile lines, or scalp.

Where PRP Shines

One treatment, many uses

Under-eyes

Brightens hollows and softens dark circles where filler can look heavy.

Skin texture

Smooths fine lines and improves tone — alone or layered with microneedling.

Smile lines

Gradual, natural softening of nasolabial folds without added volume.

Hair restoration

Scalp PRP supports thicker, healthier hair growth in thinning areas.

How It Works

Your own platelets, concentrated

A small amount of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge, separating the platelet-rich plasma from red cells. What is left is a concentrate of the growth factors your body already uses to repair tissue.

Reinjected into skin, scalp, or joint, those growth factors signal the surrounding cells to build new collagen and new capillaries. Nothing synthetic is introduced — the material is yours, drawn and returned in the same visit.

Because the response is biological rather than instant, results build over eight to twelve weeks. Most protocols run three sessions spaced a month apart, then a maintenance visit once or twice a year.

What We Treat

Skin, scalp, and joints

Facial rejuvenation. PRP paired with microneedling — the "vampire facial" — for texture, fine lines, and acne scarring. Best for patients who want gradual, natural change rather than volume.

Hair restoration. Injected into the scalp for early-stage thinning, where follicles are miniaturizing but not yet gone. Timing matters here; the earlier we start, the more there is to save.

Joints and tendons. Knees, shoulders, and chronic tendon pain that has not resolved with rest and rehab. We are candid about who this helps and who needs orthopedic imaging first.

PRP FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

Platelet-rich plasma — a concentrate of the platelets and growth factors from a small draw of your own blood, separated in a centrifuge and injected where renewal is needed. It's been used in orthopedics and sports medicine for decades.

Filler adds volume instantly with a hyaluronic-acid gel. PRP stimulates your own collagen and tissue repair, so results build gradually over weeks and look entirely natural. Many clients combine the two.

Expect subtle improvement in skin tone and texture over 3–6 weeks as collagen rebuilds, with best results after a series of treatments spaced about a month apart.

We numb the area first; most clients describe brief pressure. You may see mild redness or swelling for a day or two — fine for a return to normal life the same day.

Most healthy adults are. Because PRP relies on your own platelets, certain blood disorders or medications can affect results — your consultation covers this in detail.

Why River's Edge

One roof, every discipline

Medical oversight

Clinical services run under the direction of Ashley Sutton, FNP-MSN — spa comfort with medical standards behind it.

East meets West

Day spa, medspa, Western medicine, and Eastern medicine under one roof — your plan can draw from all four.

On the Animas

Every visit ends riverside — linger in the River Room or on the rooftop instead of rushing back to the car.

Not Just an Appointment

An experience on the banks of the Animas

Come early or stay after — order a tea, a glass of wine, or a light bite from the spa menu, watch the river from the lounge, and let the visit breathe. This is how PRP should feel: unhurried, riverside, yours.
