River Room Mineral Bath

Sink in. The river will hold you.

Book Your Soak Questions Answered
Why Minerals

What a warm soak gives back

Muscle relief

Warm water and magnesium-rich mineral salts ease tension, soothe sore muscles and joints, and help the body recover from training, travel, or a long week.

Skin renewal

Mineral soaking softens and conditions the skin — and pairs beautifully with our Ebb & Glow full-body scrub for a complete renewal ritual.

Deep calm

Thirty quiet minutes, the sound of the river, and nothing on the calendar. Warm immersion lowers stress and prepares the body for genuinely restful sleep.

Make It a Ritual

Pair your soak

The mineral bath is the centerpiece of a perfect spa afternoon. Add the Ebb & Glow body scrub before you soak, follow with the cedar sauna and cold plunge for the full contrast circuit, or book a massage to finish. Robes, lockers, and a complimentary drink are included.

The Room

One clawfoot tub, one closed door

The mineral soak happens in a room of its own — a deep clawfoot tub, low light, and a door that closes behind you. There is no shared plunge pool, no queue, and nobody else in the water.

The tub is drawn fresh for every guest and dosed with magnesium-rich mineral salts. You control the temperature, the music, and how long you stay in it.

Most people pair it with a massage or an infrared session afterward, but plenty of people book the tub alone and treat it as the whole appointment. That is a completely reasonable way to use this room.

An Oasis In The City

An hour out of your day, four blocks from Main

The minerals do real things — and we will happily explain them. But the honest case for a soak is simpler than the biochemistry: it is a room in the middle of town where nothing is required of you for an hour.

Magnesium, absorbed

Warm mineral water is one of the few genuinely pleasant ways to take on magnesium — the mineral most involved in muscle relaxation, sleep quality, and the body’s stress response. Most people at altitude are running low on it.

Heat that reaches deeper than a shower

Twenty minutes of immersion raises core temperature enough to dilate blood vessels, loosen fascia, and quiet the nervous system. It is the same mechanism behind a hot spring, in a room where you are the only one in it.

Sleep, that night

The drop in core temperature after you get out is a powerful sleep signal. An evening soak is one of the simplest interventions we know of for people who fall asleep fine and wake at three.

An hour with no one asking anything of you

This is the real reason to book it. No phone, no screen, no conversation, no decisions. An hour is short enough to fit into a working day and long enough that you come out of it different.

Absolutely — add the Ebb & Glow scrub before, the sauna and cold plunge after, or a massage to finish. Many clients build a full spa afternoon around the bath; the front desk will sequence it for you.

Why River's Edge

One roof, every discipline

Medical oversight

Clinical services run under the direction of Ashley Sutton, FNP-MSN — spa comfort with medical standards behind it.

East meets West

Day spa, medspa, Western medicine, and Eastern medicine under one roof — your plan can draw from all four.

On the Animas

Every visit ends riverside — linger in the River Room or on the rooftop instead of rushing back to the car.

Not Just an Appointment

An experience on the banks of the Animas

Come early or stay after — order a tea, a glass of wine, or a light bite from the spa menu, watch the river from the lounge, and let the visit breathe. This is how the soak should feel: unhurried, riverside, yours.
