Questions, answered honestly
The needles are hair-thin — most clients feel a brief tap, then nothing, and many fall asleep during the session. It's a deeply relaxing experience, not a painful one.
Acute issues often respond in a few sessions; chronic conditions benefit from a consistent series. Joshua will lay out a realistic plan at your first visit.
Acupuncture works with the body's meridian system for whole-body balance, while dry needling targets specific muscle trigger points for pain relief. Joshua is trained in both — and often combines them.
Yes — Joshua is a Colorado-licensed acupuncturist and NCCAOM Diplomate using sterile, single-use needles. Sessions are tailored to your health history.
Loose, comfortable clothing that rolls easily above the knees and elbows is ideal. Most points are on the arms, legs, back, and ears — you stay clothed for most sessions.
What to expect
Come a few minutes early, settle in, and share your goals — every acupuncture visit starts with a short, unhurried check-in so the session fits you, not a template.
Your provider tailors the work to your body and comfort as you go — speak up anytime; adjusting is part of the craft.
You leave with honest aftercare guidance — what to expect tonight, and how to keep the benefit building between visits.
One roof, every discipline
Clinical services run under the direction of Ashley Sutton, FNP-MSN — spa comfort with medical standards behind it.
Day spa, medspa, Western medicine, and Eastern medicine under one roof — your plan can draw from all four.
Every visit ends riverside — linger in the River Room or on the rooftop instead of rushing back to the car.
Pairs well with
Acupuncture slots naturally into a larger plan — many clients stack these in the same visit or alternate them through the season.
