Hello! We are Ashley and JD. We dream of a life where we work to live, not live to work. Something we both love about Durango is our local community and the small town culture it provides. We are so excited to open a business ran by Colorado locals for Colorado locals and visitors alike! We welcome all visitors to our beautiful city which is truly built by our local community.

Ashley, whose family descends from Durango, transitioned to Leadville, and eventually settled in Fort Collins. Ashley's father had great memories of visiting Durango growing up. When Ashley came to support Mercy hospital from Golden in 2020 she was enamored with the beauty of this town and people. She knew the dream of having a small homestead for her family was possible here! With a love of aesthetics that spans eighteen years and ten years as a Registered Nurse in the hospital setting include ICU and COVID team, she followed her vision and opened Mountain Beauty Medspa!

JD, served as a Marine and then lived in South East Asia for eight years while working as an Offshore Deep Sea diver for the Oil & Gas industry. During those years he remembers finding these sanctuaries in Bali, Indonesia and Chiang Mai, Thailand. After seeing that there was a rooftop space unused, he felt a desire and passion to restore and create an amazing oasis where locals and visitors can relax, practice yoga, or just enjoy drinks and a sports game while overlooking the river. With hope and fingers crossed, we as a community, along with the wonderful city of Durango, can make this River's Edge oasis a reality!
Mountain Beauty Medspa
Ashley Sutton, who has been in Esthetics for over 10 years, prioritizes learning and training. Prior to Esthetics, She had a rewarding career as an ICU Hospital nurse, supporting Durango during COVID in Mercy Hospital's ICU. Ashley uses her years of experience in medicine and skin care to provide the best medical spa services in Durango through Mountain Beauty Medspa.

She doesn't stop there. Ashley Sutton is over halfway through finishing her Nurse Practioners degree. She is excited to expand the medical skin care services at River's Edge and Mountain Beauty Medspa as she continues her education.

Her history shows her thirst for knowledge and she passes that down to her fellow River's Edge technicians by ensuring everyone is sharing in knowledge, learning, and always growing!
HUMBLE HOMESTEAD
Both Ashley and JD always dreamed of having a bit of land for their children to grow up on. The Sutton family LOVES animals and feels blessed to be able to have a little Humble Homestead! Their children collect eggs and sell them to the neighbors not only learning what a Homestead teaches but also learning about what a dollar is worth!
We truly love Colorado and Durango in particular and feel as though we have a dream life. Now, we want to offer something to the community here, a sanctuary for body and soul that provides recovery and rejuvenation.
We look forward to taking this adventure on with our friends and family but most importantly, we want to ensure we are a positive asset to the community. We will always listen to our wonderful community as we continue to build this River's Edge oasis together.
